DUNGUN, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- Constable Muhammad Raimi Ismarubee who was believed to have died from an electric shock in Kampung Weston, Beaufort, Sabah yesterday, was laid to rest at the Felda Kerteh 2 Muslim Cemetery here at 1.15 am today.
The vehicle carrying the late Muhammad Raimi, 24, arrived at his residence in Felda Kerteh 2 at 11.40 pm for the final respects and funeral prayers before the burial.
Earlier, Muhammad Raimi’s body was flown from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), Sabah, aboard a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) aircraft, which arrived at Kuantan Air Base, Pahang, before he was taken by hearse to Felda Kerteh 2.
The funeral prayers for the late Muhammad Raimi were led by Terengganu State Education, Higher Education, Science, Technology and Human Development Committee chairman Datuk Satiful Bahari Mamat.
Among those who attended the funeral were Dungun District Police Chief Supt Nik Ab Halim Nik Mat, about 200 officers and police personnel, as well as family members and friends of the late Muhammad Raimi.
The late Muhammad Raimi, who was still single, was the second of three siblings and began serving at the Weston Police Station in September 2024.
In the incident at 5.50 pm, three police personnel were confirmed dead after they were believed to have suffered electric shocks at Jalan Weston, Kampung Weston.
Muhammad Raimi and his two colleagues from the Weston Police Station, Corporal Chiu Teck Siong, 40, and Corporal Mohamad Nur Hafiz Ibrahim, 29, were the three personnel killed in the incident
