ACCRA, Sept 2 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- At least 13 people were killed and five others critically injured in a road crash in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region early Wednesday, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed, reported Xinhua.
The accident occurred at Sege Ada, about 80 kilometres east of the capital, Accra, when two minivans travelling in opposite directions collided head-on.
The dead and the five survivors were all passengers in the two vehicles, according to the GNFS.
The injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The GNFS said it would provide a further update on the crash, including details on where the bodies of the deceased had been taken.
