MOSCOW, Sept 2 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- United States (US) entrepreneur Elon Musk has forecast global economic growth of up to 30 per cent thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“I think AI will probably increase the global economy by 20 to 30 per cent. That’s my rough estimate, meaning on the order of US$20 to US$30 trillion per year,” Musk said, speaking via video link at a meeting of G20 finance ministers on Tuesday.
The growth will be possible due to a significant increase in productivity driven by AI technologies, the entrepreneur added.
“AI is already incredibly good at software, and it's getting to the point where it won't just be good at software,” Musk added.
AI will surpass humans in this area in about a year and a half, the entrepreneur said.
