MELAKA, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- A total of 12 projects and programmes have been implemented in Kampung Bukit Rambai under the Kampung Angkat MADANI (KAM) initiative, supported by a RM500,000 allocation from the Ministry of Finance.

Political Secretary to the Prime Minister Datuk Azman Abidin said the projects, implemented by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM) in Melaka, aimed to improve public facilities and enhance the well-being of the local community.

The initiatives include upgrading the Kampung Bukit Rambai community hall and its facilities, improving the sports court at Taman Datin Fatimah, upgrading the Padang MADANI field and resurfacing roads throughout the village.

They also include the MADANI Tuition Programme at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Rambai, as well as various welfare and community programmes.

“The KAM programme is not merely a formal ceremony or a superficial initiative existing only on paper. Rather, it stems from the sincere vision and initiative of the federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“His objective is clear...to bridge the development gap between urban and rural areas and enhance the well-being of the people,” he told Bernama at the Al-Faizin Mosque in Paya Mengkuang, Bukit Rambai, today.

“His objective is clear...to bridge the development gap between urban and rural areas and enhance the well-being of the people,” he told Bernama at the Al-Faizin Mosque in Paya Mengkuang, Bukit Rambai, today.

He was met after launching the KAM programme in Kampung Bukit Rambai, where he also visited and handed over food baskets to a household in the village.

Azman said seven KAM locations, including Kampung Bukit Rambai, had received upgrades through various projects and programmes this year to ensure that rural communities benefited from improved facilities and development.

He added that the nationwide initiative would continue to be expanded to enable more people to benefit.

Meanwhile, Melaka State Development Director Mohd Shahrul Shari said ICU JPM had approved special allocations for three projects in the Bukit Rambai area this year.

These include RM100,000 to pave the parking area for patients at the Bukit Rambai Health Clinic, RM80,000 to maintain and repair fencing at SMK Bukit Rambai, and RM30,000 to improve the counters and shelving at the Bukit Rambai Dental Clinic.

He expressed hope that the projects would improve the well-being and comfort of residents in Kampung Bukit Rambai and surrounding areas, while providing a morale boost and better facilities for the local community.
