SIBU, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- Police arrested two 21-year-olds, a man and a woman, and seized 8,400 suspected Erimin 5 pills and nearly three kilogrammes of ketamine worth RM412,351 during a raid on a house in Jalan Gambir here yesterday.
Sibu police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the suspect, a local man and woman, were detained at about 5 pm.
"A search of the premises led to the discovery of 8,400 pills suspected to be Erimin 5 weighing 2,677.46 grammes.
"Police also recovered six packets containing crystalline substances suspected to be ketamine with a weight of 2,891.81 grammes," he said in a statement today.
He said the total weight of the seized drugs was over 5.5 kilogrammes.
Abang Zainal Abidin said both suspects have no previous criminal records.
Both suspects have been remanded for five days to assist investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which provides for the death penalty or life imprisonment if convicted.
