KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- Yinson Holdings Bhd’s share price fell 2.25 per cent at midday today, following a report that its founder, the Lim family, as well as the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and MISC Bhd are teaming up for a potential takeover of the oil and gas company.

At 12.18 pm, the group’s share price slipped five sen to RM2.17, with 7.92 million shares changing hands.

According to reports, the three parties are forming a consortium to take Yinson private in a deal that could put the value of the company at around US$1.7 billion (RM6.86 billion).

The consortium is reportedly preparing to submit an indicative offer of around RM2.35 per share.
