PKR Must Strengthen MADANI Economy Narrative To Drive Reform Agenda - Fuziah

MELAKA, Aug 16 (Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) must strengthen its thinking, communication and narrative around the MADANI Economy framework to ensure the reform agenda is translated into meaningful action for the well-being of the people, its secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said.

She said leaders at all levels had to play a more proactive role in turning the party’s political thinking into effective action.

“If delegates believe that this is the framework of thinking and the framework for moving forward, then we need to reshape the way we think, the way we communicate and the narrative that we put forward,” she said in her winding-up speech at the PKR National Congress 2026 here today.

Fuziah said the implementation of institutional reforms required firm commitment and a high level of discipline from both the party machinery and the administration.

“Our task ahead is a challenging one. Yes, we know we want to win the war, but we must have sufficient ammunition.

“It will not be easy, it is not a small task, and it demands that we be highly disciplined and deeply committed to translating that thinking into action,” she said.

On the party’s direction, Fuziah stressed that PKR’s priority was to remain inclusive and champion the interests of all segments of society, regardless of background or ethnicity.

“In our party, there is no such thing as saying this is the right of the Malays, this is the right of the Indians. It is the poor whom we champion, not based on race or socioeconomic background,” she said.

She said the party’s continued commitment to the principles of justice and implementation of the MADANI Economy agenda would remain central to its efforts to navigate the challenges of current politics and governance.
