SEOUL, Aug 14 (Bernama-Yonhap) -- K-pop idol group BIGBANG has been appointed as the inaugural honorary ambassador for the South Korea’s space agency, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing the group's agency on Friday.
BIGBANG will serve as the public face of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), and convey its future vision and key policies in a friendly manner, according to YG Entertainment.
It marks the first time KASA has appointed an honorary ambassador since its establishment in 2024.
The group is set to release the digital single "BiiiG" next week and launch a new world tour to mark the 20th anniversary of its debut.
