Thunderstorm Warning In Seven States Until Midnight - MetMalaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting seven states until midnight.
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the adverse weather forecast covers several areas in the peninsula, as well as parts of Sarawak and Sabah.
In the peninsula, the areas expected to be affected include the whole of Melaka and several districts in Terengganu, specifically Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman.
Similar weather conditions are also forecast for the Jerantut and Bera districts in Pahang; Jempol and Tampin in Negeri Sembilan; and Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, and Pontian in Johor.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, similar weather conditions are also forecast in Sarikei, Sibu, Limbang, and the Song district (Kapit Division), as well as the Pusa, Saratok, and Kabong areas (Betong Division).
As for Sabah, the affected areas are Sipitang (Interior Division), Sandakan, and the Tawau, Kunak, and Lahad Datu districts (Tawau Division).
