Tunku Mahkota Ismail Grants Audience To PM Anwar
KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) -- The Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, today granted an audience to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim here.
Anwar said in a statement that the meeting was held in a cordial and harmonious atmosphere, providing a good opportunity to exchange views and discuss matters related to the welfare and well-being of the people, particularly in Johor Darul Ta’zim.
"We also discussed current developments and the MADANI Government's ongoing efforts to drive economic growth and the state's development.
"Tunku Mahkota Ismail and I also agreed to continue maintaining good relations, as well as strengthening close cooperation between the Federal Government and the Johor government,” he added.
Meanwhile, The Royal Johor Facebook post said that the meeting took place at Istana Bukit Tunku here.
The post also included three photographs of discussions between Tunku Mahkota Ismail and Anwar.
