KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Northern Solar Holdings Bhd, through its wholly owned subsidiary Northern Solar Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM34 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract for the development of a 9.50-megawatt (MW) large-scale solar photovoltaic plant.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the letter of award (LOA) for the project was accepted on Oct 7, 2026.
It said the project is scheduled to achieve commercial operation by May 1, 2027.
"Due to the confidential provision in the LOA, the identity of the party who awarded the LOA is not disclosed," it said.
The company said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share for the financial years ending March 31, 2027 onwards.
"The board said it does not foresee any exceptional risks arising from the project other than normal operational and execution risks," it added.
