KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Army (TDM), through the 10th Brigade (Para), is currently conducting the LINUD MALINDO 2026 Exercise with the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) in areas around Terendak Camp, Melaka and the Yan General Area, Kedah.
In a statement today, TDM said the exercise is being held from Sept 26 to Oct 5, with the final assault phase scheduled for this Sunday in the Yan General Area.
“The public is advised to remain calm and not be alarmed by the increased movement of armed military personnel, tactical convoys of heavy vehicles and controlled explosions in the area.
“All these activities are part of a meticulously planned military training scenario with full compliance with public safety requirements,” it said.
TDM said it appreciated the understanding and cooperation of the state authorities and local community in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise without disrupting daily public order, in the interest of national sovereignty.
