KUANTAN, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- The anti-corruption message moved from seminar halls to hiking trails as 293 participants joined the 'Integriti Didaki, Rasuah Dijauhi, Alam Dicintai' Anti-Corruption Hiking programme at Taman Eko Rimba Bukit Pelindung near here today.
Pahang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Mohd Shukor Mahmud said the programme, organised in collaboration with the Kuantan City Council (MBK) and the Pahang Forestry Department, combined elements of integrity, recreation, and love for the environment.
He said the approach provided the public a chance to engage with anti-corruption information in a relaxed atmosphere away from conventional settings.
“Booths were set up to bring the public closer to anti-corruption initiatives, including showcasing MACC’s operational asset, the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV),” he said in a statement today.
He added that members of the Anti-Corruption Student Force (AMAR) from public higher learning institutions around Kuantan joined the programme to instil integrity values among the younger generation.
“The involvement of students also aims to strengthen their role as agents of change in conveying anti-corruption messages to the community,” he said.
According to the statement, a symbolic launch of Keep Malaysia Clean (KMC) was also held, highlighting the values of cleanliness, responsibility, and environmental sustainability alongside fostering a culture of integrity.
