KLANG, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- The search and rescue (SAR) operation for the last missing angler from Monday's incident at One Fathom Bank near Pulau Ketam will resume tomorrow morning.
Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) operations officer Lieutenant Nur Affiq Nor Hisham said the fifth day of the search was suspended at 7 pm today without any new leads.
"No new information has been received from our sea and air assets deployed since this morning. The operation to locate the final victim will resume at 7 am tomorrow," he said at the forward search and rescue base at the Sementa jetty here today.
He said tomorrow's search radius, which will continue to focus on the waters bordering Selangor and Perak, will be adjusted based on tides, weather and wind direction.
The operation involves the MMEA vessel KM Nusa, a CL415MP aircraft and a Marine Police Force RH33 patrol boat.
Currently, six out of the seven anglers involved in the incident have been accounted for, comprising four survivors and two fatalities. The final missing victim is Raja Mohd Rozi Raja Mahamud, 49.
North Klang District Police chief ACP Ramsay Embol confirmed that a body, believed to be the second deceased angler, Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, 37, was found in Hutan Melintang waters at 4.26 pm yesterday.
Muhammad Ridzuan's uncle, Khairul Muhidin, 47, said the family is awaiting deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test results from the Sungai Buloh Hospital to confirm the identity, as the body's prolonged exposure at sea made physical identification difficult.
He said the results could be out as early as tomorrow, after which the remains will be buried at the Jalan Kebun Barat Cemetery in Shah Alam.
Meanwhile, the remains of the other deceased angler, Mohamad Shahril Abd Rahman, 43, whose body was found on Wednesday, were claimed by his family at the Shah Alam Hospital at 5.40 pm today following DNA confirmation.
He is expected to be buried at the Raudhatul Sa'adah Cemetery in Kampung Johan Setia, Klang, tonight.
