KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, bouyed by better performance on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
At the close, the spot-month September 2026 contract increased to US$4,393.20 per troy ounce from US$4,316.90 per troy ounce on Thursday, and October 2026 rose to US$4,411.20 per troy ounce from US$4,331.00.
November 2026 climbed to US$4,428.50 per troy ounce from US$4,347.70 per troy ounce on Thursday, while December 2026, February 2027 and April 2027 all gained to US$4,436.30 per troy ounce from US$4,355.50 previously.
Trading volume went down to 248 lots from 343 lots on Thursday, while open interest declined to 307 contracts from 403 contracts.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,368.10 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 17, 2026.
