KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) continued their Super League domination with a 3-0 win over DPMM FC in their match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tonight.
The Southern Tigers faced stiff resistance in the first half hour before scoring their first goal by Bergson da Silva in the 37th minute courtesy of a pass from Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi.
The pair were instrumental in the second goal four minutes later as Bergson scored his second goal from inside the penalty box, while the last and third goal came late in the 78th minute thanks to a header by Corbin Ong.
JDT remains at the top of the Super League with 12 points, while DPMM is ninth with three.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur City FC beat Kelantan Red Warrior FC (KRW) 3-1 at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bahru, Kelantan tonight.
The visitors went ahead first through Musa Philip Dandada near the end of the first half in the 44th minute, but the home team rebounded after halftime, equalising first with a scissors kick by Adan Nor Azlin in the 53rd minute, then pulling 2-1 ahead through a free kick by Paulo Josue three minutes later.
Paulo crowned a good night when he scored his team’s third and final goal through a free kick in the 82nd minute to secure three points for his team to the delight of the home fans.
