KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- The National Centre for Defence Studies (PUSPAHANAS) must continue to serve as a primary platform for shaping strategic thinking and producing defence leaders capable of addressing current and future security challenges.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the role was increasingly important amid a global security environment that was becoming more complex.
He said this in a post on his official Facebook page after receiving a courtesy call from the new PUSPAHANAS president, Lt Gen Datuk Mahadzer Amin, at Wisma Pertahanan here today.
Mohamed Khaled also congratulated Mahadzer on taking over the leadership of the country's highest defence education institution last August.
"I am confident that his vast experience in the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) will help further strengthen the role of PUSPAHANAS as the country's strategic defence education institution. All the best in carrying out your duties," he said.
