KUANTAN, Sept 1 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have conveyed their condolences to the families of the victims killed in the accident involving 11 vehicles on the eastbound East Coast Expressway (LPT) in Lanchang, Temerloh, yesterday.

According to a Pahang Sultanate Facebook post, Their Royal Highnesses expressed their sympathy to the victims’ families during this difficult time following the tragedy.

"Their Royal Highnesses pray that their souls will be placed among the faithful, while their families be given strength and fortitude in coping with their loss,” Their Royal Highnesses said.

Meanwhile, Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail also expressed his condolences to the family of the three family members who were killed in the accident.

He said the loss of Muhammad Nazatul Nazmi, his wife Nur Atiqah Sofiya Mohd Kazwan and their son Muhammad Armaan Nazeef in the blink of an eye had certainly left the entire family with great sadness and sorrow.

"May Allah SWT shower His mercy upon their souls, forgive their sins and place them among His righteous,” he said.

Muhammad Nazatul and Nur Atiqah Sofiya, both 32, and their four-year-old son Muhammad Armaan Nazeef were among four people killed in the accident.

The other fatality was Honda CR-V passenger Seow Beng Wain, 55, from Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, Selangor.
