WASHINGTON, Aug 22 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- United States (US) President Donald Trump said Democrats would try to impeach him if they win the midterm elections in November and gain control of Congress, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“So you're going to lose everything. I’m going to have to go through impeachment,” Trump said at a rally in South Carolina.
He described his opponents as “lunatics,” people who are “vicious, violent.”
“They are going to impeach me. They have no idea why,” Trump said.
Congressional elections will be held in November.
Analysts predict that Republicans risk losing control of the House of Representatives to Democrats.
Experts attribute the potential loss of the House majority to the administration's declining approval ratings amid the military campaign against Iran, as well as rising prices.
