PUTRAJAYA, Aug 18 (Bernama) -- The National Unity Ministry (KPN) will organise a series of programmes on nationhood, unity, history and heritage to foster patriotism and strengthen national identity in conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the 11 initiatives include the 2026 National Unity Integration Movement, Malaysia’s Merdeka Children Celebration, an Exhibition on Independence, a programme commemorating Tun Abdul Razak, the Pesta Bola Merdeka Exhibition, Night at the Museum and the Rukun Negara Oratory Competition.
“These programmes are aligned with the nation-building aspiration of strengthening national identity, a sense of belonging and love for the country while embracing Malaysia’s diversity of ethnicities, religions, cultures and regions.
“KPN remains committed to strengthening unity, fostering patriotism and ensuring that an appreciation of our history, heritage and the Rukun Negara remains central to building a more united, harmonious and prosperous Malaysia,” he said in a statement today.
