KUANTAN, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- Three family members were killed in a house fire in Desa Mawar, Muadzam Shah, Rompin early this morning.
Pahang Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations and Rescue Division assistant director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said an emergency call was received at 4.11 am and a team of firefighters was deployed to the scene.
He said the fire claimed the lives of a man, his wife and their son, while two other children survived.
The blaze also destroyed the family's home, while a neighbouring house was about 70 per cent damaged. All six occupants escaped unharmed.
The cause of the fire and the total value of losses are still under investigation.
