Buenos Aires Protests Leave Law Enforcers, Journalists Injured – Report

MOSCOW, Aug 7 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- At least 12 people were detained, while three law enforcement officers and two journalists were injured in clashes during a protest against a bill on private property inviolability, according to the newspaper Nacion​​​​​​, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

Police said small groups of protesters clashed with law enforcement officers after the main part of the rally ended outside the Buenos Aires Congress building.

Demonstrators tore up pavement and threw stones at police, who responded with water cannons, tear gas, and rubber bullets.

Three law enforcement officers were hospitalised after being hit in the head with stones.

A photographer suffered a head injury and a television cameraman was wounded by rubber bullets during the unrest.
