ACCRA, Aug 5 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday after a dynamite explosion in Ghana's Western Region, according to local media, reported Xinhua.
The incident happened in Aboso, a mining town in the Prestea Huni Valley municipality, when an attempt to kill a snake triggered the blast.
According to an eyewitness, the explosion occurred after a man allegedly fired a gun at a snake, accidentally hitting explosives stored nearby and causing a massive blast.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and assist victims.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
