IPOH, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- A total of 38 students from two secondary schools in Bagan Datuk received the 2025 Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) Excellence Incentive from Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM) in recognition of their outstanding performance in the examination.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the recipients were students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Khir Johari and SMK Tun Abdul Razak.
"What makes me even prouder is that three youths from Bagan Datuk have also secured places at Al-Azhar University to pursue studies in Islamic Syariah and Usuluddin, while 23 students received the YPM Education Compassionate Fund.
"To me, this success proves that the children of Bagan Datuk have tremendous potential when given the right opportunities, guidance and support," he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.
The Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament said he has always believed education is the best investment for transforming lives and building the future of a community, and expressed hope that parents would continue to be a source of strength and encouragement for their children in the pursuit of knowledge.
“InsyaAllah, I hope to see more children from Bagan Datuk further their studies at higher education institutions locally and abroad before returning to contribute to the development of our beloved district.
"Congratulations to all recipients. Continue striving for excellence and make Bagan Datuk proud," he said.
