PHNOM PENH, July 31 (Bernama) -- Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn will make an official visit to Malaysia next week.
The visit is expected to inject fresh momentum into the robust partnership between the two countries.
During the two-day visit from Aug 3, Sokhonn will attend the 3rd Meeting of the Cambodia–Malaysia Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) in Kuala Lumpur, according to a statement issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Friday.
The meeting will comprehensively review progress in implementing the agreed minutes of the second JCBC and previously concluded bilateral agreements, the ministry said.
“The meeting will further outline concrete measures to deepen and broaden cooperation across multiple sectors, thereby injecting fresh momentum into the robust and multifaceted relations between Cambodia and Malaysia,” said the ministry.
Sokhonn is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
