Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera Opens Applications For New CEO

PUTRAJAYA, July 6 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera is inviting applications for its new chief executive officer (CEO) position from today until July 20, to ensure a transparent, structured and merit-based selection process in line with good governance principles.

Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the new CEO must be capable of steering strategic direction and reinforcing the foundation’s role in developing Bumiputera talent, especially in high-value industries and future-facing jobs.

The chairman of the trustees’ board of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera said the foundation requires a leader who not only has a strong leadership record but also experience in technology, digital transformation, innovation, talent development, corporate strategy and new growth sectors.

“This is important to ensure Bumiputera talent, particularly youth, are prepared for high-skilled, higher-income jobs and can contribute to a high-value economy,” he said in a statement today.

According to him, the appointment is crucial to ensure Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera continues to stay relevant to shifts in the economy and technology, including high-skilled employment, digitalisation, artificial intelligence and high-value industries.

The application for the post is now open following Ibrahim Sani's resignation, effective July 1, 2026.

“The Board of Trustees of Yayasan Peneraju is looking to appoint a visionary and experienced leader with strong leadership, strategic and governance credentials to drive the organisation’s next stage of growth and transformation,” read the statement.

The Economy Ministry said candidates must be Bumiputera aged 35 and above, with a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience across multiple industries and roles, including at least five years in senior management or C-suite roles.

Applicants must also hold at least a bachelor's degree or a recognised professional or equivalent qualification.

The statement said candidates can also apply via JobStreet or by sending their applications to the official recruitment email careers@yayasanpeneraju.com.my, adding that details on career opportunities, eligibility criteria and the application process can be obtained from Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera’s website at www.yayasanpeneraju.com.my.

It said candidate screening and evaluation will be conducted by an appointed committee, in accordance with Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera’s internal procedures and any relevant rules and approvals from the authorities, where applicable.
