Johor Polls: PH's Saiful Nizam Campaigns On 'Endau's Voice To Putrajaya' Mission
By Nur Faradilla Mohamad
MERSING, July 6 (Bernama) -- Ensuring that the voices of the Endau community are better heard by the federal government is among the key pillars of Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Saiful Nizam Samat’s campaign, as he promotes his ‘Suara Endau ke Putrajaya‘ (Endau’s Voice to Putrajaya) mission in the upcoming Johor polls.
He said the approach would help expedite the coordination of various development plans, ultimately bringing greater benefits to the local community.
“Why didn't I choose Iskandar Puteri or Kota Iskandar? Because we want our voice to be aligned with the federal government, making it easier to communicate and coordinate,” he told Bernama today.
Commenting on the campaign, which has five days remaining, Saiful Nizam said the response from voters in Endau during the first week had been very encouraging across all age groups, including youths and senior citizens.
He added that the campaign was being carried out aggressively through a combination of conventional and digital approaches to ensure its message reached voters more effectively throughout the campaign period.
Saiful Nizam said the campaign also featured a specially composed theme song with a light-hearted and catchy tune as a way to attract voters, particularly young people.
He added that several polling districts, including Orang Asli settlements, would be among the key locations he planned to visit in the coming days.
On the contest for the Endau state seat, Saiful Nizam said he was up against Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Alwiyah Talib, the two-term incumbent, but remained optimistic, choosing instead to focus on the strength of his campaign machinery and the realistic commitments he was offering to voters.
“I call on Endau voters living outside the constituency, including those working in Singapore, the Klang Valley and other regions, to return home to fulfil their civic responsibility on polling day this Saturday and vote for change,” he said.
The Endau state seat is seeing a four-cornered contest involving Saiful Nizam, Alwiyah, Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Hasnul Hakimi Hussien, and Jati Awang of the Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI).
The Johor state election will be held on July 11, while early voting is scheduled for tomorrow (July 7).
