KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- National kegler Natasha Mohamed Roslan can still hold her head high despite failing to defend her International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup women’s title in Munich on Sunday.

Natasha went down fighting, losing 2-1 to France’s Manon Clement at the Max Munich Bowling in Brunnthal to settle for the silver medal.

The 28-year-old put up a spirited performance, losing 198-231 in the opening game before hitting back with a superb 286-147 victory to level the tie.

However, Natasha could not maintain the momentum in the deciding game, going down 168-204 to the Frenchwoman.

Last year, Natasha made history by becoming the first Malaysian woman bowler to win the World Cup in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

She sealed that remarkable achievement by defeating Germany’s Birgit Noreiks 217-166, 226-169 in the final.
