MACHANG, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) will develop a new police headquarters for the Kelantan Contingent in Tunjong, here, with the selection process for the project implementation company currently being managed.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Dr. Awang Alik Jeman is currently handling the decision-making process regarding the company to be selected to implement the project.

He said the development of the new police headquarters is one of KDN's projects in Kelantan and does not include the flood mitigation and clean water supply projects announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"So, Alhamdulillah, whether it is a ministry project or a federal government project, Kelantan remains a state that consistently receives attention from the Prime Minister," he said.

Saifuddin Nasution said this in his speech at the launch of the KDN MADANI Adopted Village and MADANI Adopted School 2026 here today.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid and Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat.
