SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- The 15th anniversary celebration of the superhero animation BoBoiBoy will be held through Monsta Fiesta 2026 at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre, Putrajaya, at the end of this year.
The festival organised by Monsta Studios Sdn Bhd (Monsta), which offers free admission, is scheduled to take place over four days from Dec 17 to 20.
Among the main attractions of the anniversary celebration is the BoBoiBoy Live Show: Misi Rekrut TAPOPS, which is the world's first ticketed BoBoiBoy stage performance.
The one-hour performance is specially produced for fans by One Universal Production Sdn Bhd (OUP) and Monsta.
In addition, the first BoBoiBoy-themed hotel room will be introduced at Moxy Putrajaya, bringing an experience that transcends the screen into the real world.
Monsta's executive director Ezdiani Ahmad Fawzi said that their aspiration is not just to produce animated content for screen viewing.
We want to bring viewers of animation closer to the world of Monsta through various experiences that go beyond the screen.
"Monsta Fiesta, which is entering its third edition after being expanded to Indonesia previously, serves as a platform to engage with the fan community and appreciate their support throughout the region," she said.
She said this at the launching ceremony of Monsta Fiesta 2026, which was also attended by OUP chief executive officer Alvin Lee, at Central i-City, here today.
Ezdiani said the larger-scale festival during the school holidays offers various special experiences, including exclusive merchandise and the MGC Championship 2026.
"Monsta Fiesta also celebrates the wider Monsta world, including the Mechamato and Papa Zola animations.
"Visitors can participate in various exciting and interactive activities such as meet-and-greet sessions with mascots, Cosplay competitions, and the BoBoiBoy Inflatable Playland," she said.
Meanwhile, Lee said that besides bringing BoBoiBoy to the stage live, they want families to step into the world of the animation together.
"They can watch their favourite characters come to life in the Misi Rekrut TAPOPS as they play, explore and continue the adventure.
"Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience to be shared with the whole family," he added.
