KUALA KANGSAR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- The dispute over appointments in Negeri Sembilan should be viewed in accordance with the law and statements issued by the relevant authorities, including the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).

Public Service Commission (SPA) chairman, who is also Judicial and Legal Service Commission (SPKP) chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus, said the public should not draw their own conclusions without knowing the facts of the matter.

“I advise everyone to refer to the existing laws of the country and the relevant authorities, which have the credibility to issue statements on the matter.

“Netizens should not create polemics or draw their own conclusions without knowing the actual situation,” he told reporters after officiating at the SPA MADANI Adopted School Asset Handover Ceremony at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Simpang Beluru here today.

He was commenting on the Negeri Sembilan administrative crisis following the recent cancellation of the appointments of 10 State Executive Council (Exco) members and the suspension of State Secretary Datuk Mohd Zafir Ibrahim and State Legal Adviser Datuk Muzalmah Mustapha Kamal.

Ahmad Jailani said the public could also refer to statements by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) regarding governance and the legal implications of the matter.

In another development, he said the 2026 SPA MADANI Adopted School programme at SMK Simpang Beluru had been completed within three months, with an allocation of RM100,000.

He said the initiative benefited 770 students, as well as 50 teachers and school administrators, through improvements to physical facilities, digital education and human capital development.

“The processes and procedures also appear simpler, more robust and more cost-effective, allowing students to directly benefit from the improvements, particularly through the purchase of equipment and upgrading of school infrastructure,” he said.

The improvements included the Audio-Visual Room (APD), School Resource Centre and administrative office, as well as the provision of interactive smartboards, desktop computers, printers and furniture to support more interactive learning.

The programme also included the 2026 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Excellence Programme, involving 134 examination candidates, and a benchmarking visit to SMK Pangkalan Lebai Man in Sungai Petani, Kedah involving 50 educators and support staff.

Ahmad Jailani said the school needed to prepare an asset utilisation plan to ensure the facilities provided were fully utilised and did not become white elephant projects.
