KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- The tabling of Budget 2027 today is expected to further strengthen the national economy, ease the people's cost-of-living burden, and safeguard national peace and stability.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that Budget 2027 was expected to continue the MADANI Government's efforts to broaden economic prosperity and prioritise the people's well-being.

“Previous MADANI Budgets have driven various initiatives to help the people, strengthen the economy and develop the country. As a result, Malaysia's economy has continued to demonstrate resilience, recording growth of 5.7 per cent in the first half of 2026, despite various uncertainties facing the world,” he said in a post on his X account today.

He said the Home Ministry was responsible for ensuring that national peace, security and stability were maintained, including by strengthening the capabilities of enforcement agencies and safeguarding the welfare of personnel who make sacrifices for the safety of the people.

Meanwhile, National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo also stressed the importance of forward-looking budget planning in building a sustainable future for the country.

In separate posts on their respective X accounts, Aaron and Gobind said the country’s future must continue to be shaped through forward-looking planning anchored in the people’s needs and Malaysia’s aspirations.

They said Budget 2027 focused on efforts to strengthen the economy and improve the people's overall well-being.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to table Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat at 3.30 pm today.
