PUTRAJAYA, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will suspend services provided by MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd under the MYEG Group as its collection agents from 12.01 am on Oct 5.
JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said the decision was made after considering compliance with the terms and conditions of their agreements and obligations that remained unfulfilled or unresolved.
“Accordingly, all JPJ services previously offered through MYEG Group channels will be suspended from that date.
“JPJ assures the public that its services will continue as usual through official and alternative channels,” he said in a statement today.
Aedy Fadly said computerised driving theory test (KPP01) bookings made through MYEG before Oct 5 would remain valid and could proceed as scheduled.
For new bookings from Oct 5, applicants must book and sit for the test at KPP test centres at driving institutes nationwide.
For non-Malaysians paying traffic summonses at the Malaysia-Singapore border, JPJ mobile units will provide payment facilities at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor from 8 am to 10 pm.
Aedy Fadly advised the public to use official channels to ensure transactions were carried out smoothly and securely.
“JPJ remains committed to ensuring continuity of services to the public and that all transactions are conducted in an orderly, transparent and accountable manner,” he said.
