KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- Aeris, a secure connectivity platform for Physical AI and Intelligent IoT, has launched its next-generation Aeris eSIM Orchestrator for the Aeris IoT Accelerator global connectivity management platform.
The enhanced solution supports the GSMA SGP.32 specification for IoT eSIM remote management, Single SKU eSIM and Aeris eIM as a Service (eIMaaS), enabling mobile network operators (MNOs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and enterprises to scale global IoT deployments with less complexity.
“The future of IoT is increasingly tied to the rise of Physical AI, as connected vehicles, machines and infrastructure become more intelligent and autonomous,” said Aeris Chief Product Officer, Jon Connet, adding that the new eSIM capabilities enable connectivity to adapt as devices move across markets and networks and requirements change.
Aeris IoT Accelerator manages 110 million IoT devices, including 44 million eSIM-based devices, representing more than 40 per cent of its installed base compared with 12 per cent for the broader market. The platform is also growing by more than 20 per cent year on year, according to Aeris.
The launch adds SGP.32 remote management support to the platform’s existing support for SGP.02 machine-to-machine (M2M) eSIM and SGP.22 Consumer eSIM specifications, giving customers access to 30 operators with pre-integrated support across all three eSIM standards through a single connection.
The new capabilities include an SGP.32 eSIM Orchestrator for automated profile management, a Single SKU eSIM for simpler global deployment, and eIMaaS or eIM integrations for flexible eSIM operations, according to a statement.
Connet said the challenge for OEMs, MNOs and enterprises is managing eSIM profiles reliably across thousands or millions of devices, adding that Aeris’ orchestration capabilities allow customers to use the same IoT connectivity service across networks with local SIM profiles.
Aeris IoT Accelerator serves more than 7,000 enterprises, with devices connecting in over 200 countries each month, while about 70 per cent of those connections are on a partner’s own network rather than roaming.
The expanded IoT eSIM orchestration offering is designed to support Physical AI applications, including autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics and smart infrastructure, while Aeris IoT Watchtower provides optional network-level security.
Aeris said the combined capabilities bring connectivity, orchestration, security and control together for artificial intelligence (AI)-powered vehicles, machines and infrastructure.
