KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- IHH Healthcare Malaysia brought together approximately 70 media partners and teams from its central region hospitals to foster open dialogue and meaningful engagement at its ‘Strike in Motion’ Media Bowling Engagement 2026.
IHH Healthcare Malaysia said in a statement today that the event was centred on reconnecting with long-standing media partners, building new connections and creating opportunities for conversations beyond day-to-day media interactions.
Its head of Marketing and Communications, Khairul Annuar Yusof, said strong media relationships are built through consistent, two-way engagement.
“The media plays an important role in connecting organisations with the communities they serve. For us, strong media relationships go beyond press releases and day-to-day interactions.
“They are built by taking the time to listen, understand different perspectives and have open conversations. ‘Strike in Motion’ gives us an opportunity to do that in a more informal setting,” he said in the statement.
Khairul Annuar said the engagement not only provided an opportunity to hear directly from media partners about the changing media landscape but also covered evolving audience expectations, content consumption, new platforms and approaches to storytelling.
He said that communication approaches must adapt to evolving information consumption habits, noting that listening to media partners provides valuable insights into delivering relevant, credible and meaningful content to the public.
According to IHH Healthcare Malaysia, the event also featured complimentary health screenings and wellness activities, bringing a health and wellbeing element to the session.
The event brought together representatives from six central region hospitals, namely Prince Court Medical Centre, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Cheras, Pantai Hospital Ampang and Pantai Hospital Klang, alongside the IHH Healthcare Malaysia team and members of the media.
