KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysian doctor-founded digital healthcare platform NOVV has recorded more than 2,000 online eligibility assessments and over 1,000 doctor consultation bookings since its launch, reflecting early demand for its online-first healthcare model.
Officially introduced in Malaysia today, NOVV provides online-first care across selected women’s health, men’s health and preventive health needs, with doctor-led assessment and clinical oversight at the centre of its services.
NOVV founder Dr Marissa Dinar said the platform was developed to make it easier for people to address health concerns that are often delayed, difficult to navigate or uncomfortable to discuss, while encouraging earlier attention to their overall health.
“For too long, healthcare has been built around the moment something goes wrong. We want NOVV to care for what is happening now, while giving people more ways to understand and act on their health earlier,” she said in a statement.
She said the platform combines access to doctors and appropriate treatment with diagnostics, technology and ongoing medical oversight.
“We see the future of healthcare as both responsive and proactive, treating today’s concerns while helping people stay ahead of tomorrow’s,” she said.
NOVV currently operates through three areas -- NOVV For Woman, NOVV For Man and NOVV Labs, offering services including medical weight management, women’s hormonal and skin health, selected men’s health concerns such as erectile dysfunction and testosterone assessment, as well as preventive health and longevity blood testing.
Under the platform’s model, patients first complete an online health assessment before consulting a Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)-registered doctor.
The doctor will then determine whether online care is clinically appropriate and recommend the relevant next steps, which may include diagnostic tests, treatment or prescriptions.
Patients requiring further evaluation will be referred for in-person assessment or specialist care where necessary.
To support its services, NOVV has established diagnostic access with BP Healthcare, while Sunway Multicare Pharmacy supports pharmacy fulfillment.
As part of its growing presence in Malaysia, NOVV will participate in the Women Wellness Festival on Oct 3 and 4 at Hyatt Regency as the event’s Official Digital Health Partner.
According to the statement, the platform will introduce House of NOVV at the festival, an immersive health activation designed to provide visitors with a physical experience of its doctor-led approach to healthcare.
Features include a 60-second facial scan that provides a snapshot of more than 30 health and wellbeing indicators, including cardiovascular function, recovery and metabolism, as well as body composition analysis.
Visitors will also be guided by NOVV Concierges on the relevant next steps.
“Dr Marissa is scheduled to speak at the festival on changes women may experience in hormones, metabolism, sleep and weight as they move through their 30s and beyond, while NOVV doctor Dr Zaira will be available at selected times to provide brief, non-diagnostic guidance to selected visitors based on their body composition findings and whether further medical evaluation may be appropriate,” said the statement.
NOVV said it would continue developing its clinical capabilities and partnerships in line with advances in diagnostics, technology and healthcare delivery models, with further developments to be announced in due course.
