KANGAR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Selangor FC is in a commanding position after beating Star City FC (SCFC) 4-1 in the 2026/2027 FA Cup quarterfinal first leg match at Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium here tonight.
It was SCFC midfielder Moses Atede who scored the first goal of the match tonight against Selangor FC in the 17th minute, but his goal seemed to have awakened the Red Giants out of their slumber, and they took only three minutes to equalise through Chrigor Moraes, and then went ahead with Pernambuco’s strike in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, Chrigos got his second goal of the match in the 60th minute, making it 3-1, and then in the 81st minute, he completed his hattrick to allow his team a comfortable 4-1 victory.
Selangor had advanced to the quarterfinal after beating Sabah FC 4-3 on aggregate, while SCFC beat Kedah FA 4-2 on aggregate.
Selangor has a three-goal advantage when they play SCFC in the second leg match at Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium on Oct 11.
