KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Embassy in Stockholm promoted Visit Malaysia 2026 and showcased Malaysian cuisine and cultural heritage at a reception marking Malaysia’s 69th National Day and 63rd Malaysia Day.
The reception, hosted by Malaysian Ambassador to Sweden Sarimah Akbar on Wednesday, featured a musical ensemble performing two Malaysian classics, Empat Dara and Dengarlah Gemala Hati.
“The evening provided a meaningful platform to promote cultural exchange between Malaysia and Sweden,” the embassy said in a statement.
The event was attended by about 120 guests, including Swedish Foreign Ministry Director General for Trade Policy Camilla Mellander, members of the diplomatic corps, business representatives and friends of Malaysia.
The embassy expressed appreciation to the guests for their presence and support, and said it looked forward to further strengthening Malaysia-Sweden cooperation and the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
