KUANTAN, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, today conveyed their Malaysia Day 2026 greetings to the people of Pahang.
Their Royal Highnesses expressed hope that the Malaysia Day celebration would continue to foster the spirit of patriotism, strengthen unity, and instil a sense of love and pride for the country among the people of Pahang.
“The people of Pahang are urged to continue cherishing harmony, respecting one another, and strengthening the spirit of togetherness in building a united society, particularly in a state home to people of diverse races, religions and cultures,” Their Highnesses said in a statement posted on the Pahang Sultanate’s Facebook page.
Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah also expressed hope that the people of Pahang would always prioritise national interest, uphold the principles of the Rukun Negara and play their part in ensuring that peace, stability and prosperity in the state and country continue to be preserved.
Malaysia Day, celebrated annually on Sept 16, is an important reminder of the formation of Malaysia and serves as a symbol of unity and togetherness among the people in building a peaceful, progressive and prosperous nation.
