KERALAM (INDIA), Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has chosen a moderate approach in handling differing views regarding the issue of cooperation with UMNO within the Unity Government.

Anwar, who is also Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman, stated that the government must remain stable because any overly harsh actions concerning the issue could result in losses for the country.

"I choose a somewhat moderate path because what is important is that the government must be stable, otherwise there will be many losses for our country.

"So for me, that is what is important, and I see that, for example, is also the voice we hear including from UMNO," he said during a press conference with Malaysian media in Calicut here, before concluding his working visit to India today.

Elaborating further, Anwar said various views were also voiced among political parties including PH, but such matters are normal within a coalition and should not be seen as something that could threaten government cooperation.

"We listen to everything, but to my knowledge, I don't see any problems. There are small and normal ones. Even in a household, there are minor issues, let alone with political commanders," he said.

The Prime Minister said this when asked to comment on his views regarding several issues raised at the 2026 UMNO General Assembly (PAU) recently.
