KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 (Bernama) -- Grammy-nominated artist, DJ and producer Axwell will perform live at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on Saturday, Oct 3, as part of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.

According to a statement by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and SIC today, the star joins an exciting line-up of race-weekend concerts, following the confirmation that multi-platinum-selling hitmaker Martin Garrix will headline the post-race concert on Sunday, Oct 4.

It said, concert ticket upgrades for each performance will be available exclusively to race-weekend ticket holders who purchase their race tickets by midnight on Sept 8.

“From Sept 9, ticket holders may upgrade for US50 (about RM202.29) per person for the Axwell concert and US100 (about RM404.58) per person for the Martin Garrix concert. A separate ticket is required for each concert,” the statement said.

It added that all concert ticket upgrades are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis due to the venue’s limited capacity with upgrade instructions will be sent directly to ticket holders by email.

Fans wishing to take advantage of the concert upgrade option are encouraged to purchase their race-weekend tickets before the midnight deadline on Sept 8 with the tickets are available through the Bahrain International Circuit website at bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.

Axwell is the co-founder of both Swedish House Mafia and Axwell Λ Ingrosso. In 1995, he dropped his very first vinyl, adopting the moniker OXL. By the turn of the century, he emerged as a sought-after remixer, delivering popular remixes of “Burn” by Usher, “Ma, I Don’t Love Her” by Clipse and Faith Evans, “Maybe” by N*E*R*D, “Angel” by Pharrell, “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado, and “Jump” by Madonna, to name a few.
