KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Bosian Ajdin Mujagic was undoubtedly Kuching City FC’s star as he led his team to a convincing 2-0 victory over Sabah FC in their 2026/2027 Super League match at Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu tonight.
The 28-year-old scored a brace of goals in the first half and Sabah were unable to reply, allowing Kuching City to go home with three points tonight.
Mujagic capitalised on a mistake by Sabah midfielder Mohd Fadzrul Danel Mohd Nizam in the fifth minute, pouncing on a back pass and letting loose a blistering kick from outside the penalty area that beat keeper Juan Flere to score his first goal.
He then scored his second goal in the 21st minute when Sabah defender R Dinesh’s header led the ball right to his feet, and he made no mistake from outside the penalty box to score yet again.
Kuching City remains second in the league thanks to today’s win with nine points, three behind league leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim while Sabah is fourth with six points.
Meanwhile, Terengganu FC could only come away with a single point after their home match at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Gong Badak against Penang ended in a goalless draw.
Terengganu FC striker Gervane Kastaneer’s goal in the ninth minute was ruled offside and while both sides tried their best, the match still ended in a draw.
Terengganu is now seventh with four points, while Penang is tenth after securing their first point of the season.
