ISTANBUL, Aug 24 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- A vessel was struck by an "unknown projectile" 63 nautical miles west of Saudi Arabia's Red Sea port city of Yanbu, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported on Monday, adding that the incident caused a fire, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported.
"The Company Security Officer reported that a tanker has been struck by an unknown projectile, causing a fire on the vessel's main deck.
"All crew are safe and accounted for, and no environmental impact has been reported," the UKMTO said on US social media company X.
It urged ships to exercise caution while transiting and report any suspicious activity.
