KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- National men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia Soh Wooi Yik advanced to the semi-finals of the Badminton World Championships in India after defeating China’s Hu Ke Yuan-Lin Xiang Yi today.
The world No. 4 pair produced a dominant display at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, securing a straight-game 21-11, 21-17 victory over their Chinese opponents.
Aaron-Wooi Yik will face South Korean world No. 1 pair Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae in tomorrow’s semi-final.
Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae booked their place in the last four after defeating Malaysia’s professional pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani 21-16, 21-16.
