IPOH, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the body of a woman found in a suitcase in Sungai Perak near Jeti Lembah in Kuala Kangsar on Friday after a fingerprint check found no matching record.
Kuala Kangsar district police chief ACP Heisham Harun said efforts to identify the victim were also made through the Perak National Registration Department (JPN), but a search of her thumbprint also found no matching record.
He said a dental examination indicated that the woman was in her 30s, while further examination found that she was 154 centimetres tall, weighed about 48 kilogrammes, had a tanned complexion and shoulder-length black hair.
“When found, the woman was wearing a long-sleeved black-and-white striped shirt, black jeans and earrings.
“We hope these physical characteristics and clothing will help members of the public identify the victim,” he said in a statement.
On Saturday, police confirmed that the body found in a suitcase at the location was that of a woman in her 30s.
