ARAU, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail granted an audience to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner, Datuk Seri Abdul Halim Aman, at Balai Menghadap Biru, Istana Arau here today.
Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, was also in attendance.
Istana Arau said the audience underscored its commitment to strengthening integrity, accountability, and good governance in public service, and to ensuring that all entrusted responsibilities are carried out transparently and with integrity.
“Integrity and an anti-corruption culture, grounded in the rule of law, are vital to building public trust in institutions and ensuring efficient, transparent and accountable public services,” Istana Arau said in a statement today.
Former High Court judge Abdul Halim took over as MACC chief on May 13, succeeding Tan Sri Azam Baki, whose term ended on May 12.
