COLOMBO, Aug 11 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's Cabinet has approved fuel and crude oil supply contracts covering the period through February 2027 as the government moves to secure uninterrupted energy supplies for the country, the country's Cabinet of Ministers announced Tuesday.
The contracts were awarded following Limited International Competitive Bidding among suppliers registered with the corporation.
Four bids were received for each of the Petrol 92 and Murban crude oil procurements, while six bids were submitted for the diesel contract.
The Cabinet approval was granted on proposals presented by the Minister of Energy, with the procurements intended to maintain adequate supplies of refined fuel and crude oil for the country's energy needs.
