KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- Investment holding company Capital A Bhd recorded growth across several key business segments in the second quarter (2Q) of 2026, driven by stronger performance in its engineering, logistics and travel-platform businesses.
Capital A, formerly known as AirAsia Group Bhd, said in a statement today that Asia Digital Engineering’s completed workshop orders rose 23 per cent year-on-year, while Teleport’s e-commerce parcel volume surged 79 per cent to 56.5 million parcels.
AirAsia MOVE’s monthly active users increased 22 per cent to 16.3 million, while gross booking value expanded eight per cent to US$1.3 billion (US$1=RM4.094).
Capital A said the second quarter reflected the typical seasonal slowdown, while geopolitical tensions in West Asia and airline capacity adjustments affected some of its business segments.
“Despite these headwinds, the group continued to make progress across its portfolio by expanding the capabilities and commercial reach of its businesses, supporting diversified sources of growth across the ecosystem,” it said.
Overall, the company said its diversified portfolio demonstrated resilience in 2Q 2026 despite the seasonal decline in regional aviation capacity across Southeast Asia.
