SEREMBAN, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has been defeated in the Linggi seat in a three-cornered contest in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election, according to unofficial results available tonight.

The Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman lost to Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, who successfully defended the seat.

Also defeated was Bersatu candidate Datuk Zamri Md Said, who was contesting the Linggi seat for the third time.

Meanwhile, unofficial results also showed that DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke failed to defend the Chennah seat.

The Transport Minister polled 4,413 votes, while BN candidate Siow Kong Choon of MCA secured 5,522.
