Malaysian Graduates Demonstrate World-Class Aerospace Competence - Zambry

KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysian graduates have shown they are capable of meeting international aerospace industry standards, reflecting their high level of competency, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said.

He said the achievement of 56 Malaysian students who completed industrial training at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) in Ankara under the Turkish Aerospace SKYGLOBAL Programme since 2023 reflected the high calibre of the country's graduates.

“The Turkish Aerospace SKYGLOBAL Programme continues to prove its value as a high-impact platform for talent development.

“Even more encouraging is that some of the programme’s alumni have since joined TUSAS as professionals, demonstrating that Malaysian graduates have the skills and capabilities to meet international aerospace industry standards,” he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.

Zambry said the programme went beyond a standard industrial training scheme, serving as a key platform to develop highly skilled graduates with technical capabilities, leadership qualities, adaptability and global perspectives to enhance their employability.

He said 20 students from nine local universities had been selected to join the programme, with offer letters presented to them today, adding that the 2026 cohort would receive hands-on industrial training at Turkish Aerospace’s Ankara facilities, with exposure to cutting-edge aerospace technology, high-tech engineering processes and globally recognised operational practices.

“This programme shows that collaboration between universities, industry and international partners can create more opportunities for Malaysian students to gain global experience.

“I hope participants will use this opportunity to develop their knowledge, acquire new technological skills, build global networks and bring back valuable experience to strengthen Malaysia’s aerospace and high-tech sectors,” he said.
